Society for Epistemology and Logic (SEPLO)

We are a non-profit civil association whose aim is to promote research, teaching and dissemination of epistemology, logic and science, as well as academic collaboration between these disciplines.

Directive Council

President

Luis Carrera Honores

He holds a Master’s degree in Epistemology from UNMSM. He is a full professor in the Department of Philosophy in the Faculty of Humanities at UNFV. He is currently researching the development of positivism and science in Peru in the late 19th century.

Vice-President

Luis F. Bartolo Alegre

He holds a Master’s degree in Epistemology from the UNMSM with special interest in the philosophy of language, the theory of argumentation, logic and the theory of science. He’s currently a PhD candidate at LMU-München.

Secretary of Recording

Joseph Mejía Guevara

Master of Law at the PUCP with complementary studies at the UAM (Madrid) and studies in logic of law. Professor of Philosophy of Law at the UNMSM Postgraduate Law School, and author of several articles on civil law.

Secretary of Communication

Fabiola V. Cárdenas Maldonado

Anthropologist with research experience in youth, health and governance of natural resources. Master candidate of Epistemology at the UNMSM, with a special interest in the methodology of science.

Secretary of Economy

Miguel Angel Merma Mora

He holds a Master’s degree in Epistemology at the UNMSM and researcher interested in mathematical logic, history of science and philosophy of comedy. University professor of Introduction to Science and Logic of Law.
