The field of logic is vast and multifaceted, encompassing a wide range of approaches and techniques for understanding and evaluating reasoning. One of the key areas of focus in logic is the diversity of logics that have been developed to address different kinds of problems and issues. This diversity reflects the fact that different logics are suited to different purposes and contexts, and that different logics may be motivated by different philosophical, mathematical, or practical considerations.

At this World Logic Day 2023 event, titled Logics and their Motivations, we aim to delve into this diversity of logics and explore the various motivations behind their development. We will hear from leading experts from around the world who will present talks on a range of topics, including finitary logic, dialogical logic, connexive logics, transmissive logic, and the use of logical calculi as scientific models. Moreover, we will have a special session devoted to the logic developed in Peru.
